Our organisation has been engaged in a project with StudioRogier for the last 6 years. I was initially impressed with the design that was developed for our service, and Roger’s methods for engaging relevant stakeholders. Roger’s passion and commitment to see our project through has been unwavering over the years, and has resulted in a genuine partnership.

Rogier is designing a modern extension to our 1880s cottage in Crafers, South Australia. We have found Rogier very easy to communicate with. He is very responsive and has impressed us with the speed of delivering the concept drawings. Rogier has listened to our needs for the extension and has been very flexible with coming up with creative solutions to some of the problems that the site presents. He has understood our budget requirements and designed the extension accordingly. Together we worked through several revisions until we were satisfied with the concept. Rogier was able to interpret and enhance our expectations for the proposed extension. We love his commitment to energy efficiency and to the use of sustainable materials. We are now waiting on the drawings for Council submission.

I can’t rate Rogier highly enough for the incredible work that he has done as an active volunteer for Indigenous Community Volunteers over the past few years. Rogier has generously donated his time and highly developed skills as a professional architect to support Aboriginal communities across Australia, where he has created architectural plans for communities including Papunya, Eden, Lismore, Ntaria/Hermannsburg, Kalgoorlie, and Frankston, and now for Wreck Bay in NSW. Rogier really takes the time to listen and understand people’s needs and aspirations, which is reflected in his sensitive and environmentally conscious designs that always exceed expectations. He is not just a fantastic architect, he is a delight to work with: a great communicator, highly organised, grounded, thoughtful and always keeps the community in mind. It’s an absolute privilege to be able to work with Rogier – highly recommended.
